Sparkles Foundation Children’s Benefit Fashion Show Shines a Light on Hope and the Fight Against Human Trafficking

More than 200 guests gathered at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines for an unforgettable afternoon of fashion, compassion, and purpose as the Sparkles Foundation Children’s Benefit Fashion Show brought the community together to support vulnerable children and victims of human trafficking.
What began as a fashion show became something much greater—a powerful celebration of hope and a reminder that every child and every victim deserves the opportunity for a safer, brighter future.
The sold-out event opened with Miss Teen California Ava Grace Nichols, who proudly opened the runway before models of all ages took the stage. Dressed in beautiful fashions and walking with confidence, the models represented more than style and elegance—they represented strength, unity, and the power of a community coming together for a meaningful cause.
Guests enjoyed a spectacular afternoon beginning with a champagne reception and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a sit-down luncheon with complimentary wine. The program featured talented singers and dancers, live entertainment, an exciting live auction, and a stunning runway presentation by Kristi Brooks production.
San Diego District Attorney Summer Stephan, the event’s guest speaker, spoke passionately about the devastating impact of human trafficking on victims, families, and communities, as well as the continued efforts to combat this growing crisis and protect those at risk.
The event raised funds to support charitable organizations dedicated to helping victims of human trafficking and underprivileged children, providing hope and essential resources to individuals and families facing tremendous challenges.
Event co-chairs Kathy Kassardjian and Tanya Louviano NBC News caster expressed their deepest gratitude to the sponsors, donors, guests, volunteers, models, parents, entertainers, and community partners who helped make the event possible.
“This was never just about a runway. It was about giving a voice to those who may not have one, bringing hope to children who need it, and standing together against human trafficking. Every person in that room became part of something bigger than themselves. Together, we can save lives, change futures, and bring light where there is darkness,” said Kathy Kassardjian, President of the Sparkles Foundation.
The afternoon ended with smiles, applause, and a renewed commitment to the Foundation’s mission. The sold-out event demonstrated what is possible when a community comes together with compassion and a shared purpose.
